Notification of Renewal Application at the end of the fiscal year

Important Notice

HGC Account Expiration

Your HGC supercomputer system account will expire on 31 March 2010.

In order to keep your account, please complete the renewal procedure*.

If you wish to terminate or temporarily suspend your account, please
complete the termination procedure**.

The deadline for both procedures is 26 March 2010.

This renewal request only affects users who wish to continue to use
the HGC supercomputer system. It is independent from the renewal
procedure of the IMS mail accounts (username@ims.u-tokyo.ac.jp) .
The IMS IT-Services Division should have already notified you about
the necessary steps for renewing your IMS mail account.

ATTENTION:
Files stored under accounts which will either be cancelled or not
renewed, are going to be deleted shortly after 1 April 2010.


*Renewal Procedure (4 steps)

1. Download the form:

Page 2: "User's Report for FY2009"

2. Fill out the documents.

Users who want to continue using MySQL, Postgres, Mathematica and
supercomputer (sm) should check the appropriate boxes in the "Form for
Continuation (FY2010)".

3. Send the documents per post to

4. Send a usage report by e-mail to register@hgc.jp

Title the e-mail "Publication list by the HGC super computer
resources" and attach the usage report, preferably as a .txt-file.

The usage report lists all research achievements which draw upon the
HGC supercomputer system's resources. It should include the following
information:

- HGC username
- Published papers
- Published web services and sites

An example usage report would look like this:

(1) Username for HGC

(2) Published papers, etc.
